Year 12 students complete NCS challenge.
Congratulations to our Year 12 students who have completed the NCS challenge. These pictures are some of the students celebrating the finale of their course.
The students took part in a weekend away building key skills such as teamwork, leadership and communication. They then created a Social Action Project that aimed to support a local charity. Presenting their project to a panel of local business leaders, they improved and fine tuned their projects. Finally they visited their local charity on two occasions to enact their Social Action Project. One team visited a local women's refuge, Nissa Ashram, and helped decorate it's community room, another team organised a Halloween party at an adult disability home, Ferndal Crescent. The students improved their teamwork skills and achieved an internationally recognised qualification, not to mention making a positive impact by serving our community! Great work!
