Record-breaking A-level Results for Ark St Alban’s Academy Sixth Form
The students of Ark St Alban’s Academy Sixth Form have once again achieved record-breaking results. A quarter of all A-Level students achieved 3 grades at A*-B, the highest proportion since the Sixth Form opened six years ago. In addition to this, 30% of all students, including those following BTEC courses, achieved the equivalent of 3 A*-B grades, and 63% of students attained 3 A*-C passes.
Religious Studies, History and English Literature achieved some stellar results- 90%, 89% and 75% A*-B respectively. Biology, Chemistry and Physics also achieved increases of 23%, 32% and 50% in their A*-B rates. To complement these outstanding A-Level achievements, 100% of BTEC students achieved a Merit, Distinction or Distinction* in their Level 3 courses.
Every student picking up their results has at least one offer from a university, and the majority of students will go on to study at a Russell Group institution. This includes 24 students who have received adjusted offers from the University of Birmingham after having completed the Access To Birmingham (A2B) programme. The following students all exceeded their target grades by a considerable distance, securing places at top-ranking universities:
