In December 2025 we undertook a consultation around its policy relating to mobile phones in response to the Department for Education guidance about mobile phones in schools.
Our policy has now been updated to state that mobile phones should never be seen, used or heard. Further details of this can be found in our behavior policy.
It is important to note that families are still strongly recommended not to give children under the age of 16 a smartphone. It is also important to note that if this policy which allows pupils to be trusted to bring phones to and from school is not effective, it is likely that the school will consider a complete ban in the future.
