School Meals
Everyday there is a choice of hot meals, including at least one vegetarian option. There are also grab and go packed lunches available for pupils who want to attend lunch time clubs or enjoy the outside space at lunch time.
All of the food served by the school is halal. Information about allergies and dietary requirements can be found on the menus. If your child has a specific dietary requirement which doesn’t appear to be catered for on the menu, then please contact their head of year in the first instance and every effort will be made with our catering team to make sure that there is a meal that can be provided.
Ordering and payments
St Alban’s Academy is committed to healthy eating and we ask that parents/carers do not allow their children to bring junk food, sweets or fizzy drinks to school.
The school canteen provides healthy foods and students are encouraged to eat healthily. A vegetarian option is always available and the kitchen is usually able to cater for special dietary/medical needs if given advance notice – please contact the school office so we can help you organise this if necessary.
Unless your child is eligible for Free-school meals, please use make sure that your child's iPayimpact account is in credit to enable them to purchase a lunch. We will not accept cash in school. You can find out more about how to create and use an iPayimpact account here.
