Our Parent Forum provides the opportunity for parents to play an active role in school life and provide invaluable input from the perspective of a parent.
- The purpose of the Parent Forum
Our aim is to ensure all parents are supported to play an active role in school life. We feel that our Parent Forum will ensure that all parents have this opportunity and that parents are enabled to be meaningfully involved in decision-making.
- What does it mean to be a member of the Parent Forum?
Any parent can become a member of the Parent Forum. There will be a termly Parent Forum meeting and parents who are members of the forum will be invited to set the core agenda for Parent Forum meetings. Topics which school would like to consult parents on will be shared as a secondary discussion however parental agenda points will always be central to the discussion.
If you are a member of the Parent Forum we are asking for you to commit to attending a termly Parent Forum meeting to ensure consistency and productive discussions. We understand that there may exceptional circumstances where you are unable to attend and in these instances we will ensure you are sent a copy of the minutes after the meeting.
As a member of the Parent Forum, you may also be contacted with parent volunteering opportunities and for consultation on practice and policy.
