Girls who participated in the programme attended a celebration event at the academy where they had the opportunity to say their final farewell to their mentors who have been supporting them for the last 10 months and to reflect on their experience of being part of the programme.
This was a very exclusive and prestigious programme that supports under-represented, but high achieving girls in our community. Pupils were given a professional mentor for ten months and had a one 1-hour session each month, to raise aspirations and empower them to achieve within their next steps. It is intended to address disadvantage and drive social mobility.
