Our pupils in year 10 were fortunate to hear from a representative who works for a provider called ASK, which stands for Apprenticeship Support and Knowledge in schools and colleges programme, this is a Department for Education provider. The pupils learnt about the plethora of entry routes available, and the support that this provider offers. Pupils were engaged with this event and from the extent of questions being asked, this was evident and showcased how insightful the information assembly had impacted our pupils.
What are apprenticeships?
Apprenticeships are a useful way for pupils to experience real life work, whilst gaining a recognised qualification. There are many levels from 2 – 7, and the duration is between 12-months to 48-months, but that will depend on the level you do.

As part of Character and exploring the big question 'where am I going next?' pupils are given the opportunity to meaningfully engage with employers and apprenticeship providers so they can make well informed decisions about their futures.
