Our Year 13 pupils were incredibly successful in their A-Level and BTEC exams and on results day they were able to confirm plans to go on to study at excellent universities.
32 pupils secured places at either Birmingham or Aston universities which continue to be a popular choice with both now in the top-third of universities in the UK. Many are also set to travel further away and plan to attend highly ranked universities including Warwick University and Bristol University. Some pupils have also secured places on degree apprenticeships with top employers including the National Highways Agency.
The range of different courses that pupils are going on to study is wide-ranging, from marine biology to accounting and finance. It is incredibly exciting to see so many young people going on to study subjects that they are passionate about.
Pupils achieved excellent results and they can all be proud of their achievements. However, we are particularly proud of three of our highest achievers:
- Ayaan who achieved A*AAA in Maths, Further Maths, Physics and Psychology is planning to take up a place studying Maths at the University of Bristol
- Katir who achieved the top grade of D*D*D* in the Extended Diploma in Applied Science (BTEC) is planning to take up a place on a degree apprenticeship with National Highways
- Farzad who achieved A*AA in Maths, Biology and Chemistry and is planning to take up a place studying Biomedical Science at the University of Birmingham
Overall the results that pupils achieved showed continued improvement on previous years, with the number of pupils achieving a minimum of three C grades and a minimum of three B grades continuing to improve.
