There are two changes proposed to the oversubscription criteria in the admissions arrangements, as follows:
- Removal of feeder schools in the oversubscription criteria
- Changing the criterion for siblings, to include siblings of pupils who had attended in the previous academic year’s Year 11 and/or Year 13 (and therefore might no longer be at the school when the sibling joins in Year 7 that September).

Correspondence should be headed “Ark St Alban’s Admissions Policy Consultation 2025”.
The consultation closes on 22nd December 2024, all comments should be received by this date.
Next Steps
Once public consultation has closed, Ark Schools (the admissions authority for Ark St Alban’s Academy) will consider all feedback to the proposed admissions arrangements and make recommendations for final changes, where relevant. The final admissions arrangements will be determined by the Ark Schools Management Team before 28th February 2025 and published on the academy’s website.
