This month saw the return of the much-anticipated #ArkHack – with Ark St Alban's pupils in Year 10 securing 3rd place!
The third event of its kind in London, the Hackathon brought together 10 Ark schools to take part in an event in which pupils would compete, work together, and showcase their computing prowess.
Designing an app which can tackle the issues of climate change is no easy feat, and the pupils certainly rose to the occasion and seized the day in all its competition and excitement. Pupils took their skills to the next level by presenting a pitch for their app to a panel of judges from Ark sponsor Marshall Wace.
"It was amazing to see how Ark St Alban's pupils really seized the day, embraced all the activities, and showcased their computing knowledge and skills. I hope they left the event with a renewed interest and passion for the subject, and a deeper contextual understanding of applying their skills to tackling global issues. Congratulations to all pupils involved."
