As part of studying the Business curriculum, pupils in Year 10 visited the world famous Cadbury World.

During the visit, pupils toured parts of the factory, learning about the history of the business and how they have grown, whilst also having the opportunity to taste the famous Dairy Milk chocolate!

Cadbury was established in 1824, and has expanded to be a brilliant example of business growth and production of some of our favourite chocolate bars. Cadbury moved to Bournville when they needed more space and then led the growth in human resources (HR) as they put services in place to support the welfare of their workforce, including group sports, country outings and summer camps. Children benefited from a new playground, whilst tennis and squash courts, a bowling green and swimming pools were also built.

Pupils had the opportunity to get to grips with Cadbury chocolate and learn about the tempering process. They also benefitted from a presentation about how Cadbury use marketing to make profit. Pupils were shown how the use of modern interactive technology has been used to carry out market research for new Cadbury products.
