We were delighted to welcome representatives from the Envision Programme to Ark St Alban’s Academy for an inspiring assembly that introduced students to the opportunities available through this exciting youth leadership and social action initiative.
It was particularly wonderful to welcome back Olivia, one of our former students, who is now working for Envision. Olivia shared her journey since leaving school and spoke passionately about the positive impact the programme can have on young people. Her success serves as a fantastic example of where determination, ambition, and community involvement can lead.
We would also like to extend our sincere thanks to Sloe for delivering the assembly and providing students with an engaging overview of the programme. Students learned how Envision supports young people to develop essential employability skills such as teamwork, communication, leadership, problem-solving, and project management while making a positive difference in their communities.
A special thank you goes to our Year 13 students, Yasmin and Ghadir, who previously participated in the Envision Programme and volunteered to share their experiences. Their honest reflections on the skills they developed, the challenges they overcame, and the confidence they gained gave younger students a valuable insight into the benefits of taking part.
The assembly highlighted the many opportunities available through Envision and encouraged students to become active changemakers within their communities. We are grateful to Olivia, Sloe, Yasmin, and Ghadir for helping to inspire the next generation of students to get involved and make a difference.
