Our Year 12 students recently attended a Career Ready promotion assembly, where they were introduced to an exciting programme designed to help prepare them for their future careers. The assembly provided an overview of the opportunities available through Career Ready, including mentoring with industry professionals, workplace visits, masterclasses, and skills development sessions.
Students learned how participation in the programme can help build confidence, improve employability skills, expand professional networks, and gain valuable insight into different career pathways. The session also highlighted the benefits of working with a dedicated mentor who can offer guidance and support as students make decisions about their future education and career choices.
The assembly encouraged students to take advantage of this unique opportunity to develop the skills, knowledge, and experiences that employers and universities value, helping them make informed choices and achieve their aspirations after sixth form. We would like to thank Julia from Career Ready for taking the time to share their expertise and inspire our students to consider the exciting opportunities available to them as they plan their next steps beyond sixth form. We would also like to thank our students Abdi, Mohammed and Ahnaff who were previous participants of the programme and shared their account of their experiences.
