Today, Ark St Alban’s Academy welcomed Parvin Akhtar, Midlands Programme Lead at the EY Foundation, for an engaging in-person assembly with Year 12 students. The session introduced a range of exciting opportunities designed to help young people gain valuable work experience, develop employability skills, and explore future career pathways.
Parvin shared details about the Smart Futures programme, which offers paid work experience alongside mentoring and skills workshops. She also highlighted upcoming initiatives such as Impactful Futures, ideal for students interested in social impact careers, and Step into Business, a one-day workshop for budding entrepreneurs.
The assembly sparked enthusiasm among attendees, many of whom expressed interest in learning more about these programmes and how they can shape their future careers. We are fortunate to already have students currently taking part in EY Foundation work experience programmes and more will be joining in the upcoming cohorts scheduled for February, May, and August.
Ark St Alban’s Academy is proud to collaborate with the EY Foundation to provide students with opportunities that build confidence, broaden horizons, and prepare them for life beyond school.
A heartfelt thank you goes to Parvin Akhtar, and all the colleagues at EY who constantly go above and beyond with providing young people with such influential life skills and experiences, to build and develop their character.
