St Alban's Academy pupils are celebrating excellent GCSE results and are enrolling into courses at our sixth form.

Almost three quarters of our pupils achieved a minimum of grade 4 in English and Maths, and over half achieved a grade 5 or better. Many pupils have also secured the grades that they needed to secure places on competitive Level 3 courses, including BTECs and A-Levels at Sixth Form and at college.

Amira and Mariam were our highest achievers. Mariam achieved grade 9 in seven of her GCSE subjects, including in all three separate sciences. Amira achieved grade 9 in six of her subjects, including in both History and Geography. Both will be joining the sixth form at Ark St Alban's and studying Psychology, Chemistry and Biology. Amira and Mariam were followed by Ilhan and Zayan who both achieved six 8+ grades and will both also be staying with us for sixth form.

Many pupils also made huge progress over their five-year journey at our school from Year 7 to Year 11. Those with the highest progress scores were Abdiraxman, Romana, Hassan, Sarah and Mustafa.

Given the great success of our Year 11 pupils, places at Ark St Alban's Sixth Form have been filling up fast, with Biology, Chemistry, Maths, Psychology and Applied Science proving the most popular courses.

Principal, Guy Rimmer said, "We are incredibly proud of this cohort of young people and the results that they have achieved. I am incredibly excited to find out what they will do next, whether they remain with us or pursue further study elsewhere. I wish great success for them".

There remains a small number of places available on some courses at the sixth form and anyone interested in joining the sixth form is encouraged to attend in person to find out more on the morning of Tuesday 26th August.
