Some year 12 pupils have been fortunate to participate in a condensed work experience programme with Intercity Technology. This consisted of an icebreaker session where pupils met and worked with their professional mentors for the duration of the programme providing 1:1 support.
Pupils went on a tour of the office to see the amazing, advanced technology used to deter cybercrooks. Pupils were tasked with creating a PowerPoint about how they could create resources to keep their school safe by mitigating any risk factors that could impact the school and their learners. Decisions were made on one product or service that Intercity Technology offers that would make the most difference to the school and their learners.
Year 12 were able to present their ideas to the senior leadership team at Intercity Technology and recieved valuable feedback on their delivery. Moreover, all pupils had mock panel interviews with professionals and were able to get feedback on their CVs.
This has been a very rewarding and powerful experience for our pupils and has given them insight into the world of work, which will encourage them to make informed decisions when considering their vocation.
