I hope that families enjoyed a peaceful and joyful Eid celebrations last week. I am sharing an additional update this week as I am aware that there is a lot happening in these final weeks of the school year.
Parent Survey
We have written a short survey for parents to complete to help us in our planning for the next school year. I would be very grateful if you can take five minutes to complete the survey which you can access by clicking the link below:
Parent Survey (closing date, Friday 21st July).
Consultation Event
I am looking forward to seeing many of you at the Consultation Event this evening which from 4pm onwards, will focus on the planned school building project.
However, if you would like to arrive at the earlier time at 3.30pm, there will be further information about the Relationships and Sex Education curriculum available which we discussed last week.
One World Day
Our event last Friday celebrating different cultures and traditions was a huge success. Thank you for your contributions on the day itself
School Closures
A reminder that the school will be closed on Wednesday (strikes), Thursday (training) and Friday (strikes).
On these days school will be closed for almost all pupils. The only pupils attending will be those who are due to take part in trips or special events which we hope to still be able to continue with. These include the planned trip for some Year 10 pupils to Drayton Manor and the Year 6 Transition Day. If your child is due to take part in a trip or an event on either of the planned strike days, you will be contacted directly to confirm arrangements.
Progress Day
A reminder that Friday 21st July is Progress Day Please let your child know a time which they can share with their form tutor to book your appointment.
Appointments can be made for the Friday morning, or for the Thursday afternoon if that works best for you. In these appointments you will receive and review your child’s end of year report and exam results, and you will also receive important information about the start of the new school year in September.
Term Dates
A number of families have asked me recently about the term dates for the next academic year. These can be found here. Please note that pupils will be expected back in school on Wednesday 6th September after the summer holidays.
