We hope you have been able to enjoy the summer holidays so far. Many teachers and leaders returned to school last week to run the Year 13 exam results day, and this week and next week colleagues will continue to be in school as we prepare for GCSE results and the start of the new school year.
We recognise that this has been a difficult for month in our community and across the UK. The rioting which took place in the UK was both shocking and disturbing. It was incredibly sad to see so much hatred in our country and we understand how particularly upsetting it would have been for many of our families. Mr Rimmer and the staff team at Ark St Alban’s are determined to provide whatever support they can to families and to our community as we all come to terms with what has happened.
Colleagues are in school each day now until the start of term in September. If you have any questions or concerns about any matters, please do pop in to visit us or get in touch via phone or email. We will share updates like this throughout the next few weeks and we look forward to seeing all pupils back in school in September.
Remember, school will begin for pupils in Year 7 and Year 12 at 8.10am on Wednesday 4th September and for pupils in all other year groups on Thursday 5th September. You can find these dates and other key dates for the term ahead here: https://arkstalbans.org/calendar.
