This week we are proud that our Year 11 pupils did even better! The GCSE exam results this year were the best in the history of the school.
More than three-quarters of pupils achieved 4+ in English and Maths (a standard pass) and almost a two-thirds achieved 5+ (a strong pass). Most impressively, the average grade achieved by pupils in Year 11 was above grade 5 and this is a huge achievement for a cohort that have made significant progress in their five years at the school.
The highest achiever was Junayd, who achieved a remarkable eight GCSEs at grade 8 or higher and the pupil who made the most progress was Saahil, who achieved seven GCSEs grade at 8 or higher.
Excitingly, almost all of the Year 11 cohort have chosen to continue at Ark St Alban’s Academy for Sixth Form and we are also looking forward to welcoming children from across the city choosing to join our school for Year 12.
