Our Year 12 students recently took part in an engaging and informative Financial Education Workshop delivered by colleagues from Lloyds Bank. During the session, students developed a greater understanding of key financial concepts, including payslips, employment types, saving and investing, and the importance of making informed financial decisions for the future.
Throughout the workshop, students had the opportunity to hear from a range of professionals working across different areas of the business, providing valuable insights into the diverse career opportunities available within the banking and financial services sector. These real-life experiences helped students understand the skills, knowledge, and pathways that can lead to successful careers.
The workshop was enriching for all students and has made a valuable contribution to their personal and career development. By increasing their financial awareness and exposing them to professionals from a variety of roles, students gained practical knowledge that will support them as they progress into higher education, apprenticeships, and the workplace.

As part of Character and exploring the big question 'Where am I going next?' pupils are allowed to meaningfully engage with employers and apprenticeship providers so they can make well-informed decisions about their futures.
