Pupils in Year 8 learnt about the careers available in finance, the skills required for careers in finance, and they worked in teams to complete a Finance Challenge.

Pupils were given the opportunity to speak to professionals from the sector and ask questions about their career journeys. They also received advice and support on to how they can develop and grow in their future careers.

Discovering their inner origami skills, pupils were tasked with buying and selling origami products created by their team in the team challenge. This helped them to understand the concept of buying, cost, and profit whilst having fun and developing teamwork, communication, and leadership skills.

Awards were given out for the 'best team' and 'best team player'.

Well done to Year 8, for demonstrating and developing the character needed to be successful now and in the future.

As part of Character and exploring the big question 'where am I going next?' pupils are given the opportunity to meaningfully engage with employers and apprenticeship providers so they can make well informed decisions about their futures.
