Ark Football Championships

Last week, boys and girls football teams in Years 7, 8 and 9 completed in a football championship alongside other local Ark schools.

We had a strong showing from all year groups involved and fulfilled teams in all age groups. New teams were formed for their first ever fixture such as the Year 7 and 8 girls who thoroughly enjoyed their first time wearing the St Alban’s colours.

In terms of silverware, the headlines were as follows:

  • Year 9 Boys – 2nd – 9-7 loss in the final
  • Year 9 Girls – WINNERS – 17-4 Win against Ark Victoria
  • Year 8 Boys - WINNERS – 6-0 Win against Ark Boulton
  • Year 8 Girls – 3rd place
  • Year 7 Boys – 2nd – 4-0 loss to Ark Boulton
  • Year 7 Girls – 2nd – 2-1 loss to Ark Victoria

Special shout out is also due to the Year 10 leaders who were incredible role models on the day as they led their teams and helped the organisers with the running of the event. They were incredible representatives of St Alban’s and demonstrated our values through everything they did.
