Our pupils on the Career Ready Programme had a master class from a professional who works for Allianz. This master class was a preparatory session for their upcoming 4-week paid internship with their professional mentors’ workplaces. Pupils gained insight about the behaviours and the expectations that will be necessary for them to have a positive experience when they enter the professional workplace. The session gave pupils the opportunity to learn about expectations and skills they can expect to achieve from doing this placement. It was an interactive session which was valuable, and hopefully helped our pupils foster the approach in how they must conduct themselves throughout their internship. Moreover, our pupils have an experience of the professional workplace which will bridge gaps in their knowledge and understanding of the platform of careers that are available, which will allow them to further acquire skills and make informed decisions for their futures.
Some of our employers this year includes NatWest, Allianz, Phoenix, Turner & Townsend, Cushman & Wakefield and Repair Care.
