Year 12 Assembly with Aston University!

Destinations! Year 12 hear from Aston University, a top third Birmingham university!
year 12 assembly

Year 12 pupils were fortunate to hear from a representative from Aston University about transitioning to higher education. The talk covered the plethora of courses on offer, university lifestyle, student finance and academic learning delivery. This was a very interactive and positive session, and pupils were able to ask questions about any concerns they had about attending university. The talk also covered the UCAS process, which is the platform used for making applications for all UK wide universities. There was also mention on personal statements and deadlines for certain courses like, medicine and dentistry.

As part of Character and exploring the big question 'where am I going next?' pupils are given the opportunity to meaningfully engage with employers and apprenticeship providers so they can make well informed decisions about their futures.
