We know that many families may choose to take a one day leave of absence for Eid celebrations on Friday. School however will remain open for those not celebrating.
On Monday next week (Monday 24th April), all pupils are expected to return to school following Eid celebrations. This will be a non-uniform day with pupils again welcome to bring donations to be shared with local foodbanks.
There are two further days of strike action planned by teachers in England: Thursday 27th April (next week) and Tuesday 2nd May. On both days, the school will remain open for pupils in Year 11 and in Year 13. However, school will be closed for pupils in all other year groups.
Year 9 Parent Information Event
Despite the planned strike action, the planned Year 9 Parent Information Event will go ahead on Thursday 27th April (next week), starting at 3.30pm. This will be an opportunity for pupils and parents to learn more about preparing for Year 10 and plans for GCSE subjects.
A reminder that there are two national bank holidays coming-up and the school will be closed on Monday 1st May and Monday 8th May.
Parent and Community Group
A reminder that our parent and community group continue to meet on Thursday mornings with families welcome to arrive from 9.15am onwards.
