Pupils have been studying incredibly hard in recent weeks and completing their end of term assessments.
Below you will find some information and updates to guide you through the final weeks of term.
Attendance
We have had excellent attendance this term. Thank you for your support.
Today I have written to a number of families though who have a pattern of leaving early before the start of the school holidays or coming back late from the school holidays, reminding them that this is not acceptable and it leaves families at risk of fixed penalty notices (fines).
Every child must be in school on Wednesday 20th December and Tuesday 9th January.
Progress Day
A reminder that Progress Day appointments can now be booked, with slots available between 1pm and 5pm on Wednesday 20th December and between 9am and 5pm on Thursday 21st December.
To book your appointment, please do one of the following:
- Ask you child to book the appointment with their form tutor for you
- Contact your child’s form tutor by email
- Call the school on 0121 446 1300
Equipment
During the Christmas break, please do take the time to make sure pupils return to school in January with all the equipment that they need for school:
- Black pens
- Green pens
- Pencils
- Ruler
- Rubber
- Protractor
- Glue Stick
- Calculator
Coding Competition
A team of our Year 10 Computer Scientists came second in a national competition hosted by Ark Schools in London. The Ark Hackathon is a prestigious event and the team did an exceptional job in achieving a medal winning position.
