As part of The Girls Network, one of our pupils in year 9 were fortunate to meet with Dr Monica Green for a 1:1 Q&A about life as a GP and career steps she can take now preparing her for a healthcare career. The pupil was able to find out insight into this career field and skills that this pupil should be working towards acquiring.

The Girls Network is a very exclusive and prestigious programme that supports underrepresented, but high achieving girls in our community. It links social mobility with success and bridges the gap between disadvantaged girls due to their socioeconomic status. Female pupils are given a professional female mentor for 10 months and are expected to have one 1-hour sessions each month where they will meet their mentor that will raise aspirations and empower them to achieve within their next steps.

As part of Character and exploring the big question 'where am I going next?' pupils are given the opportunity to meaningfully engage with employers and apprenticeship providers so they can make well informed decisions about their futures.
