Please prepare carefully for September to make sure that your child is ready to return to school on the correct day.
Pupils in Year 7 and Year 12 will return to school on Wednesday 4th September 2024. Pupils in all other year groups will return to school on Thursday 5th September.
This year, there has been a record number of families issued with fixed penalty notices (fines) because of absence from school, particularly at the start of the school year in September.
It is very important that every child is present and ready to learn in September. Missing the start of the school year creates significant challenges both for pupils and their teachers, and many find it hard to catch back up.
