Year 11 pupils went on a visit to Birmingham City Centre HS2 offices and participated in an apprenticeship workshop with other schools that were in attendance. They learned all about the plethora of careers within the construction industry, heard from current apprentices and their unique pathways, and were also set a fun but interactive challenge to construct a tall tower model out of 10 sheets of paper in 10-minutes, and no other resources were allowed to be used.
Pupils were able to exercise their core skills in teamwork, leadership, resilience, perseverance and listening. This visit will aid all pupils to make informed decisions for their career pathway.
